Our Editorial Policy

Watch journalism should help readers understand the details behind a design, not simply repeat the language used to promote it. That principle guides the content we publish at TopFakeWatches.cc.

Our main subjects are genuine watch releases, watchmaking history and the way established designs are interpreted in the super clone and replica watch market. We write primarily for UK readers, although many of the design and technical questions we examine are relevant elsewhere.

Research and Sources

When researching an article, we give priority to original manufacturer announcements, published specifications, historical documentation and reliable watchmaking references. We distinguish confirmed information about genuine watches from claims made about replicas.

Descriptions such as super clone, premium quality and identical movement are not recognised technical certifications. We do not treat them as proof of a particular material, level of accuracy or manufacturing standard.

Where an article discusses an individual replica, its claims should be limited to details that can be supported by the available evidence. An original manufacturer’s specifications must not be presented as the verified specifications of a replica.

Original Writing and First-Hand Experience

Our articles aim to contribute useful observations about proportions, materials, dial layouts, bracelet construction and movement functionality. Research from other publications may help establish background facts, but their writing and personal experiences must not be presented as our own.

We distinguish between watches examined in person and watches discussed using manufacturer information, supplied photographs or other published material. An article should not be described as hands-on unless its author has actually handled the watch.

When AI-assisted tools are used for drafting, translation or editing, factual claims, sources and descriptions of first-hand experience remain subject to editorial verification. We do not use such tools to invent product testing or personal experience.

Independence and Commercial Relationships

Editorial recommendations must not be presented as independent opinions when they are paid placements. Any sponsored article, affiliate relationship or product supplied for evaluation should be disclosed clearly wherever it is relevant.

Commercial arrangements, if introduced, must not determine the factual conclusions of our articles. A brand, seller or advertiser should not receive undisclosed control over editorial coverage.

Corrections and Updates

We welcome reports of inaccurate specifications, incorrect reference numbers, misleading images and other factual errors. When a significant error is identified, the relevant article should be checked and corrected. Material changes should be accompanied by a clear correction or update note.

We may revisit older articles when new information becomes available. A changed publication date should reflect a meaningful editorial revision rather than a purely cosmetic update.
